What we collect, how counterparty identities stay private, and how trade and mill documents are stored and shared.

Version 2.0 · Last updated 2026

1.Data we collect

Account data (name, business email, phone or WhatsApp number, country, account type), company data (registered name, address, trade licence and tax registration details), trading content (listings, buying requirements, offers, quantities, ports and prices), uploaded documents, and technical data such as IP address and device information used for security and abuse prevention.

2.Identity protection by default

Company names, contact names, phone and WhatsApp numbers, e-mail addresses and websites are hidden from public visitors. They are revealed only when a member spends a contact unlock from their membership allowance, and the reveal is recorded in an unlock ledger visible to that member.

Public listing and requirement pages expose product specification, grade, standard, quantity, origin, destination and dates only — never the identity of the counterparty.

3.Trade and mill documents

Trade licences, tax certificates, certificates of origin, mill test certificates and inspection reports are held in private storage. Access is limited to the uploading member, our verification team, and — where the member chooses to share them for a specific enquiry — the intended counterparty. Documents are never published openly or indexed by search engines.

4.Why we process your data

To operate your account and dashboards, to publish the trading content you choose to publish, to verify companies and quality documents, to enforce membership entitlements and unlock limits, to prevent fraud, sanctions breaches and document forgery, and to comply with legal obligations.

5.Sharing and international transfers

We share data with infrastructure and processing providers (hosting, database, storage, email delivery, payment processing) acting on our instructions, and with authorities where legally required. Because steel trade is cross-border, your data may be processed in countries other than your own; transfers are made under appropriate contractual safeguards.

We do not sell personal data and do not share unlocked contact data with third parties.

6.Retention

Account and company records are kept for as long as the account is active and thereafter only as needed for legal, tax, dispute and anti-fraud purposes. Unlock and payment records are retained for audit. Listing content can be removed by you at any time.

7.Your rights

You may access, correct, export or request deletion of your data, object to certain processing, and withdraw marketing consent. Company profiles, documents and listings can be edited or removed directly from your dashboard. To exercise a right or raise a complaint, write to business@s7eel.com. We respond within one business day and resolve requests within statutory timeframes.

8.Security and breach handling

Access is controlled by row-level database policies, server-side authorisation and private storage buckets. Traffic is encrypted in transit. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we notify affected members and the relevant authority as required by law. Never send bank details or payment instructions through unverified channels.

9.Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, security and saved preferences. We do not use advertising trackers.
